Margaret M. Berglind, L.C.S.W., M.S.W., President and CEO

Established in 1964, the Child Care Association of Illinois (CCA) is a voluntary, not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the delivery of social services to the abused, neglected, and troubled children, youth and families of Illinois.

The Child Care Association, through its by-laws and Articles of Incorporation, has established the following objectives for itself in the Illinois child welfare, mental health, and special education systems:
To achieve an adequate, effective, and efficient service system that operates in the best interest of the children and families in care;
To ensure that sufficient financial resources are made available to support these services in both the public and voluntary sectors;
To ensure that a sufficient number of qualified, trained personnel are available for the delivery of needed services;
To ensure that the convictions, interests, and experience of voluntary sector agencies are heard and incorporated into planning and programming for the full range of children's services;
To educate the public and its leaders concerning the existing and emerging needs of children and families and to elicit their support of efforts to meet those needs
The Association strives to achieve these goals through:
Advocacy
Information Brokering
Training
Membership Participation
