Information Brokering
The information that the Child Care Association provides to its member agencies covers a broad spectrum of programmatic and fiscal trends, as well as social service developments on both the state and national levels. The Association:
| Routinely mails legislative alerts and special policy and program briefs to its members;
| Updates its members through the use of a computerized electronic mail system which allows immediate transfer of critical information;
| Maintains a committee structure that monitors major programmatic and budgetary issues impacting children and families;
| Provides ample opportunities for member agencies to share program, management, and administrative ideas;
| Conducts specific surveys and distributes reports on current member programs and needs;
| Administers the Adoption Information Center of Illinois which promotes public awareness of adoption for children with special needs.
