Family Assessment Worker – part-time

 

Child Welfare agency seeks a part-time Family Assessment Worker for its Healthy Families Program.  This home visitation and parenting education program targets prenatal mothers and mothers of newborns.  The Family Assessment Worker is responsible for initial screenings of parents during prenatal care and/or immediately after the birth of the child to determine whether the child is at risk of abuse or neglect.  This position requires a bachelor’s degree in human services.  A master’s degree and two years experience in related fields is desired.  Bilingual Spanish/English desired.   Position hours are flexible.    EOE  M/F/D/V.   Contact Shelter, Inc. Per DCFS licensing standards, candidates must have a valid Illinois driver’s license, submit to a full background check, have a medical and TB test, and submit proof of academic transcripts.
