Clinical Director 
 
Location: Chicago and Lockport Villages 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: The Clinical Director of SOS Children’s Villages is responsible for oversight and direction of the therapeutic team in Chicago Village and Lockport Village in a manner that effectively utilizes these resources and meets all contractual requirements as well as the needs of program clients. The Clinical Director overseas and coordinates clinical services offered to assigned clients, including the provision of individual, group, and family therapy. The Clinical Director provides; supervision, leadership and direction to assigned clinicians; clinical services and appropriate therapy to assigned clients in assigned programs; training on clinical issues as needed to other employees; and clinical supervision and leadership organization-wide.  
 
Position Minimum Requirements: MSW, or relevant MA (recognized by DCFS), from an accredited program; LCSW/LPC/LCPC preferred and a minimum 3 years experience in clinical practices. This position is shared between the Chicago and Lockport Villages. Candidates must be willing to also travel both Villages as necessary. Demonstrates maturity and sensitivity to cultural and individual differences in children and families served; Strong interpersonal, oral, written and organizational skills; ability to handle job-related matters in a professional, diplomatic and confidential manner; sensitivity to cultural, psychological and practical needs of the clients that the agency serves. Hold a valid Illinois driver’s license with acceptable driving record and provide own reliable and insured transportation; pursuant to DCFS licensing standards submit to a full criminal background check. This is a full time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.  
 
 
SOS Children’s Villages Illinois provides quality foster care in agency owned homes within a family setting. SOS has 18 foster homes in a Village in Lockport and an urban Village in the City of Chicago at 76th Street and Parnell with 16 homes.

Staff Accountant 
 
Location: Downtown Chicago 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: The Staff Accountant is responsible for administering all financial accounting aspects of SOS Children’s Villages Illinois as directed by the Chief Financial Officer. 
 
1. Handles the Cash Receipts function of the agency under the direction of Senior Accountant. Balances Cash receipts module to the general ledger monthly; responsible for entering and maintaining the Accounts Receivable Subsidiary ledger. 
 
2. Tracking and preparing the DCFS billings for various contracts. Reconciles the DCFS accounts receivable monthly, and records accruals at month end. Provides monthly outstanding receivable schedules to Village Directors and follows up timely on outstanding DCFS Accounts Receivable. 
 
3. Maintains client /revenue records and prepares weekly reports. 
 
4. Prepares various financial reports including the Dashboard report, weekly census report, month-end financial statements, and prepares statistical monthly report on census; prepares special reports for various board committees as required. 
 
5. Reviews the records of the foster parent home accounting process; monitors home account budgets and checking accounts; maintains home account records; transfers money into home account checking accounts, communicates budget to actual information to the CFO and Village Directors. 
 
6. Backup person for the Payroll function in coordination with Human Resources. Prepares bi-weekly payroll entries and resulting allocations to functional expenses; compiles statistical payroll information need for month end closing; maintains related reports, prepares payroll journal entries and accruals; reviews employee expense reports and enters them for payment; balances quarterly payroll tax returns. 
 
 
Position Minimum Requirements:  
BS in Accounting with 1-year experience in accounting and systems, some experience in not-for-profit preferred. 
 
Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles applicable to not-for-profit organizations, and knowledge of cost accounting. 
 
Skilled in electronic record keeping, spreadsheets, and word processing. 
 
Ability to interpret financial records to staff. 
 
Ability to pass DCFS required criminal background check including CANTS/SACWIS and SORS. 
 
Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple tasks. 
 
Ability to work flexible hours.
