PRINCIPAL FOR THERAPEUTIC DAY SCHOOL:
Well-known child welfare agency is seeking a principal for its therapeutic day school for students with emotional and behavioral disorders. Currently the school serves 104 students in a 3-year-old state of the art facility. In addition to the usual psychotherapeutic and special education elements, the school has a major arts program, including a drama program that frequently has won the Illinois State Drama competition.
The successful applicant will have an experienced based knowledge of curriculum adaptation, classroom behavior management strategies, and individual, group and family psychotherapeutic interventions. He or she will really like the students we teach.
A graduate degree and Illinois administrative certification is required. The salary range is between $100,000 and $135,000 based on experience. Benefits are very competitive.
