LSSI serves people through an array of programs at more than 100 sites across Illinois. LSSI’s services include counseling, mental health, substance abuse treatment, residential treatment for children and adolescents, early childhood education, programs for adults and children with developmental disabilities, foster care and adoption, housing and services for older adults and individuals with disabilities, nursing care and programs for prisoners and their families.

Adoption Preservation Therapist

(Office Location: West Peoria, IL 61604)

Full-time opening to provide the full range of therapeutic services to clients (children, youth, adolescents, and families) in the adoption preservation program and who have been affected by trauma, or have been diagnosed with pervasive developmental disorders, attention-deficit and disruptive behaviors disorders among others. Candidate must be either SOMB approved or have training and experience specifically in working with Juvenile Sex Offenders. Must be able to work collaboratively with adoptive families and other service providers. Position requires compliance with state mandates, COA and Medicaid standards, agency policies and program plans. Candidate will also be required to travel to the client’s home. Master’s degree in social work or related human services field. Must be a LCSW or LCPC o r be in the process of obtaining license.
