Full-time opening for Type 04 Teacher for full day Head Start/Pre-K classroom for 3-5 year old children. Experience using Creative Curriculum and managing paperwork required. Two years experience teaching children 3-5 years old required. Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Type 04 Early Childhood Certification. Must pass fingerprint and criminal background check. Ability to speak Yoruba, Ibo, Edo or Spanish a plus. Must be able to embrace and work with diverse cultures. Hours to be determined. AmeriCorps* VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) position available in Marion office. Volunteer to help fight poverty/issues surrounding poverty in southern IL. Gain experience in the child welfare field. Help create and expand programs and mobilize community resources to support these programs. Must pass fingerprint and criminal background check.
Minimum Requirements:
One year commitment (encourage second year commitment, but
decision does not have to be made until the end of the first year).
Available to work any hours or weekends for at least 40 hours per
week.
No other full- or part-time work.
No full- or part-time education programs, unless directly related to
VISTA or career plans, and then maximum of one course with
approval by VISTA.
Must pass fingerprint and criminal background check.
